the church festivals, where everyone is welcome, the authentic sifnian
dishes and as much wine as you can drink is completely free. It
is an honour to a Sifnian to sponsor a church festival.
There are pottery shops throughout the island
where you can actually see pottery making and ceramics painting.
Hiking just about anywhere you will be surrounded
by the so advertised greek oreganon, thyme and, as the Europeans
call it greek tea (fascomilo). Rubbing your hands on their leaves
and smell the aroma will lift you up to another level.
In the archaeological museum in the city of
Castro among other findings you will notice glass containers found
at a nearby location where a Roman cemetery existed. There as far
as pre-historic structures and cemeteries.
